Hello everyone!
God did so much during my time in Colombia! I love that He is so patient with us to deepen our understanding of Him and His love for us. I thought I’d share a list of what specially the Lord did for me during this time.
What God did:
– Pruned me and showed me what it looks like to live like it shows in John 15. He took down walls of pride and envy in my life and replaced them the vastness of His love.
– Shown me how to be a better friend, sister and daughter. Mending relationships with people even when I’m not there with them.
– Made me aware of my complete and utter desperation for Him. I can produce nothing without Him.
– Inspired my faith via Colombian believers that are deeply in love with Him.
– Given me friendships and connections unlike any I’ve ever had before. Each of my teammates are a unique answer to prayer and I’m so grateful for them. Within that though, God has reminded me that my ultimate friendship must be found in Him.
– Gave my squad an amazing place to stay with such kind hospitable people. Our hosts served us in a way I didn’t expect and I took away such a spirit of hospitality from them.
– Provided supporters to fund me so I can be here in the first place. This is something I’ve always dreamed of doing and I’m eternally grateful for the people that made it happen.
These are some of the biggest things that the Lord did here! Being on the mission field is not what made these happen, it’s just within the nature of God to work in us. If you take a look at your life (it does require reflection) you will notice God in every aspect of it. If every good and perfect thing is from God, that alone reveals that He has His hand over every area of my life. I encourage you all to reflect on the seasons of your life and recall what the Lord did. Is He not worth being praised for His goodness? Just as Samuel set up a stone of remembrance, we should too (1 Samuel 7:12). It’s important to take stock of what a God does and give Him His due praise. God is powerful everywhere, all the time, don’t forget to see it.
Thank you all for reading, it means a lot!
